FDW Attorney Helps Client Win $17.7 Million Judgment

Christmas 2005, a Clayton County grandmother was in the back seat of her son's 2002 Ford Explorer driving to Church with her family when their SUV was hit head on by another car. While none of the others involved in the accident were seriously injured, the grandmother, who was "safely" buckled into her seat belt, slammed forward and down when the rear seat latch failed and it collapsed on her, which resulted in her being completely paralyzed from the neck down.

While no amount of money would make this grandmother whole again, it would take a great deal of money for her care. Neither she nor her son, who was driving the SUV, were in any way at fault in the accident. An FDW client referred the grandmother to us to help her with the case. (more...)

Supreme Court Weighs in on "Reimbursement" under the IDEA

FDW Intern Awarded "Best Attorney" in the Regional Mock Trial Competition

FDW is particularly proud of its 2009-2010 intern, Oriana Patterson of Jonesboro High School. Oriana won "Best Attorney" for all three rounds of the recent Regional Mock Trial Competitions. Jonesboro High School's Mock Trial Team, of which Oriana is a member, won their 9th regional title. The State Completion is the next step for the team. FDW wishes the team and Oriana great success!
