Student Intern wanted for South Atlanta Firm

FDW has employed high school and college student interns for the past decade, offering them an insider’s view of a working law firm. Out of the fourteen young people we have worked with to date, two are now practicing attorneys (who say they will always have a great appreciation for their support staffs), one is a second year law student at Cornell University, two are in the paralegal program at Clayton State University, two are business majors at the University of Georgia, and three say they want absolutely nothing to do with law ever again! 

If you want an opportunity to learn about working in a law firm from the bottom up, we are looking for bright, talented, self-motivated students.  The skill set requirements include complete knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and high level of technical competency; the ability to speak well enough to answer a busy switch board; a valid Georgia driver’s license; and the ability to lift a 15-pound box of closed files.  Duties will include filing, scanning, answering telephones, running occasional errands and special projects as work load demands.  A job perk is you may arrange to go to court with one of our attorneys if you wish to do so.
