Rená O. Jefferson is the litigation paralegal for Fincher Denmark & Williams, LLC. Her primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all pending litigation, civil or criminal. She assists all departments in our office as needed.
Jefferson has over seven years of legal experience as a paralegal. Before joining our firm she worked for Hollowell Foster & Gepp, P.C., a law firm whose founding partner is largely known for representing the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the Civil Rights and Discrimination cases in the 1960’s. While at Hollowell Foster & Gepp, she was a member of the litigation department. There she multi-tasked several different areas of legal expertise which included collections, personal injury and insurance defense.
Recently, Jefferson was selected as a finalist as Outstanding Paralegal of the Year for the Gate City Bar Paralegal Section. This prestigious award is given to the paralegal who exemplifies professionalism in the workplace and the community.
She worked for the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, where she served as the first paralegal for the Major Case Division - Homicide. While there she assisted on several High Profile Death Penalty Cases.
Jefferson received her B.A. in Paralegal Studies from the University of Maryland, and her Paralegal Certificate from Atlanta Metropolitan College. She is a native Floridian and relocated to the Metropolitan Atlanta area in 1991. She has been a resident in Clayton County for over fifteen years. She is also the proud mother of a son, who is a private pilot and pursuing his education at Baylor University in Aviation Engineering.
Jefferson is very active in her community, devoting her personal time to her duties and responsibilities to Woods Memorial Baptist Church, Georgia Association of Paralegals, and coaching girl’s softball at Sandtown Park in South Fulton County.
